New Patients
What to Expect as a New Patient
Starting with a new provider can feel like a leap, especially after you've already been through the traditional medicine model without answers. Here's what the process actually looks like at Nabella Health.
Your First Steps
1. Book a Consultation
Not sure where to start? You can begin with a discovery call with Danielle, who will tell you more about Dr. Safdieh, the Nabella Health approach, and what to expect from working together. When you’re ready, you can schedule your first visit with Dr. Safdieh, either in person or virtually.
2. Comprehensive Intake and Initial Plan
Your care begins before your first visit. Dr. Safdieh reviews your intake forms and medical history in advance, so she comes to the appointment already familiar with your background. During your visit, you’ll talk through your health history, current symptoms and concerns, nutrition and lifestyle, family history, medications and supplements, and your personal health goals.
You’ll leave your first visit with a personalized plan designed around what Dr. Safdieh learns about you. This may include nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, targeted supplements, medications when appropriate, and orders for bloodwork or additional diagnostic testing. Once your results are available, Dr. Safdieh will review them with you at your next visit and refine your plan based on what the testing reveals and how you’re responding.
3. Evaluation & Testing
Dr. Safdieh determines which diagnostics are relevant to your situation, from standard labs to more advanced testing depending on your program.
4. Ongoing Care
Your care doesn’t end once your initial plan is in place. Through follow-up visits with Dr. Safdieh, health coaching, and re-testing when appropriate, we continue to assess what’s working, make adjustments, and set new goals. The focus is always on the full picture of your health—continuing to improve how you feel today while staying proactive about your long-term health.
Choosing a Program
Nabella Health offers several ways to work with Dr. Safdieh, from a focused introduction to functional medicine to a fully guided, high-touch longevity membership.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
You really don’t need to bring anything—just come ready to talk openly about your health, your history, and your goals. We’ll go through everything from A to Z.
I really value this first meeting as a chance to get to know you, understand the full picture, and make sure we’re a good fit for one another. Before your visit, you’ll just need to complete a few online forms so I can familiarize myself with your medical history ahead of time.
-
Your first visit is typically 75–90 minutes—which, believe it or not, goes by pretty quickly. We cover a lot, but the time allows us to really dig into your health history, concerns, and goals without feeling rushed.
-
Of course. I try to be as flexible as possible and make things work for my patients. I see many of my patients virtually, especially once we’ve established a relationship and know each other well. If you’d like to switch an in-person visit to virtual, I just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible, since I plan my schedule around in-office appointments.
